What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian position at Avon Veterinary Clinic?
We are looking to hire a full time veterinarian for our two doctor small animal practice. We have seven technicians and are always well staffed. As a full time employee you would work four days per week with a two hour lunch break, we are not open on weekends, we have no late hours and there is zero on-call expectation.
Salary is negotiable, healthcare is mainly paid for by employer and only a very small percentage by you. 3% matching retirement plan. All licensing and DEA fees are 100% paid for by us, as well as liability and life insurance. CE is encouraged and expenses are reimbursed. All veterinary care, supplies and boarding costs are free. Please bring your dog to work.
Our doctors have years of experience under their belts, so you would be given however much or little guidance and mentorship you feel comfortable with. The owner of the practice is a former teacher and that will be apparent to any new hire. Our doctors and technicians also love to learn, so bring in your new knowledge! We are always open to trying new drugs and gadgets. We enjoy having lunch and learns with our providers to hear about the latest and see if things are a good fit for us.
We are one of few independently owned practices to remain in the area and take pride in giving our new hires the freedom to do things "their way." One of our vets currently chooses to treat exotics, if this is something that interests you, great! Do you enjoy treating pocket pets? That can be your decision to do so!
