- One (1) year of experience in data entry
- Three (3) year experience in public school Human Resouces setting
- Knowledge of Visions/Enterprise through Tyler ERP Solutions, Frontline, and Benefit Connect software
- Knowledge of Family Medical Leave Ace (FMLA), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), Affordable Care Act (ACA), Workers Compensation, Unemployment, and Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS)
- This position will be a main point of contact for new hires and current employees with general HR questions and will be responsible for processing a large volume of data on a regular basis requiring a broad knowledge of District and Personnel policies and COVID protocols.
- Assist in organizing and attending job fairs, campus events, and networking opportunities.
- Provides information regarding career fairs, employment, position opening, pay rates and benefits.
- Manage job postings and ensure accuracy on each post.
- Create and schedule new hire orientations.
- Send, accept, and process new hire paperwork.
- Maintains and interprets various employment files, records, policies and procedures for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of employee’s compensation, maintaining eligibility for position and complying with all federal/state/district regulations.
- Assist in the implementation of personnel software programs for HR processes such as applicant tracking, onboarding, document management, professional growth, and employee management.
- Oversee the HR personnel software program and the associated personnel modules.
- Collaborate with the HR department to create and revise annual employee trainings as needed.
- Oversee staff yearly compliance trainings to ensure completion and compliance.
- Updating and maintaining tracking forms related to hiring, terminations, and leaves of absence.
- Process Workers Compensation claims, return to work orders, OSHA reports and information requests.
- Assist, process, maintain accurate records and communicate with employees regarding leave of absence requests.
- Assist in maintaining the Staff Information Guide with the most current information.
- Updates HR related sections of the website as needed.
- Process initial unemployment claims and maintains a process to verify claims which may be fraudulent, including claims due to COVID.
- Composes documents for the purpose of communicating information to school and district personnel, the public, state officials, etc.
- Assist with benefits during onboarding, offboarding, benefit open enrollment, and benefit/wellness events.
- Add leave for employee approved leaves related to FMLA, LOA, and Workers Compensation.
- Upkeep employee files following the Arizona State Library retention schedule.
- Work confidentially with discretion.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
