What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Avondale Health and Rehabilitation Center?
Avondale Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled Interim Maintenance Director to manage the operations and maintain the facility's safety and comfort for our residents and staff. A successful candidate will come with prior Long Term Care/Healthcare Maintenance leadership experience.
This is a full time position, working Monday - Friday with weekends based on facility needs.
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year maintenance experience
- Proven knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred
- Knowledge of local building codes and ordinance in long term care preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs, preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance on mechanicals
- Work closely with other department heads to prepare rooms for new resident admissions/discharges
- Develop and implement programs to ensure work safety assurance and compliance to OSHA guidelines and standards
- Ordering supplies and equipment
- Manage financial and operational budgets
