What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Video Editor position at Avōq?
Avōq is seeking an Assistant Video Editor who is process oriented and passionate about creativity. You’ll work on our Production Team, assisting our Editors, Animators, and Producers, helping us elevate and bring our creative visions to life. WHO YOU ARE:

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Help prepare and export a variety of deliverables across all media including social, digital, video, and radio.
- Organize and manage footage and drives, and maintain the departmental project archives.
- Prep edit projects for editors by importing, syncing, and organizing video and audio files.
- Organize and maintain files on sharing and storage platforms like Vimeo and DropBox.
- Support studio & field shoots, media trainings and webinars as needed.
- Occasionally assist in the editing/animation process using Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Assist in the creation of captions/subtitles and other accessibility assets.
Requirements
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively within the larger creative team.
- A passion for creating and a commitment to producing high-quality, impactful content.
- Based in the DC area with the ability to work from our DC office at least 4 days/week.

The salary range for this role is $55,000 - 70,000
