Job Overview
The Human Performance Wing seeks a Continuous Process Improvement Consultant to enhance its operations. With a diverse workforce of military, civilian, and contractor personnel, the Wing delivers unparalleled capability to the Air Force through world-class infrastructure and expertise in various fields.
Responsibilities:
- Provide study teams with best practices in Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) and lead CPI investigations using the Kirkpatrick Model of Evaluation in AOME courses.
- In partnership with study teams, explore Kirkpatrick Model levels 3 and 4 outcome measures and applicable measurement data from Air Force databases and resources; build reports to communicate findings.
- Partner with study teams to implement valid Kirkpatrick Model level 3 and 4 evaluation measures; create process maps, visuals, and reports to convey results.
- Join focus groups, contribute to survey data collection, and participate in evidence-based data collection practices; build reports to share findings.
- Map processes conducted during studies and those discovered in research findings; develop guides and standards for future SMEs and lay individuals.
- Perform other duties assigned by Primary Investigators to meet study objectives and prepare deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
- Possess a minimum of a Green Belt in Continuous Process Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, or military CPI).
- Have experience with process mapping software (MS Visio or LucidChart).
- Demonstrate strong writing and presentation skills.
- Have experience with MS Windows, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Show ability to thrive in team environments and complete tasks independently or with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrate organizational skills, goal achievement, initiative, complex project management, influence, and integrity, as well as professional interaction with all personnel levels within and outside the organization.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Possess a Black Belt in Continuous Process Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, or military CPI).
- Previous work experience in research project management or assistance is preferred.
- Prior work experience in a Governmental environment is desired.
- Previous experience working in a military research environment is desired.
