What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ready Mix Driver - AME position at AVR Inc?
This list of duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete a pre-trip assessment on the truck including filling the truck’s water tank.
- Ability to communicate effectively when working with and getting directions from Dispatch.
- Climb the truck ladder 15-20 times a day.
- Enjoy a predictable work schedule with a variety of deliveries in one day.
- Unload the ready mix according to the customer’s instructions.
- Learn the art of adding fibers or admixtures to the load.
- Complete end of day checklist including washing down your truck, completing a post trip vehicle inspection, and going home knowing you made a difference.
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Have a valid CDL driver’s license
- At least 1 year truck driving experience
- Must be 21 years of age
- Have a good knowledge of the North metropolitan area
- Ability to shift direction on short notice with change in route or delivery instructions
- Deliver a high level of customer service
- Knowledge of operating equipment on a construction site and/or road construction site Ability to work Monday – Friday and most Saturdays during our busy season
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 40lbs
- Climb ladder 15-20 times per day Pull/push concrete with a hand scraper numerous times per day.
