AVS Installations is seeking a professional, driven and experienced Field Engineer. This role will include a wide range of hands on and management roles in relation to the completion of integrated Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Meeting Rooms and Presentation systems. Your upmost responsibility will be to complete and commission Audio Visual Systems onsite while maintaining a level of interaction with the client or contractor and the Director of Project Services.
A candidate should demonstrate highly proficient in interpretation of system design, and commissioning procedures. The candidate should have a strong understanding of audio DSP programming such as Biamp, BSS, and Clearone, and programming software such as Crestron, and AMX for loading code a de-bugging purposes. Also the candidate should have a strong understanding of Networking and IT procedures to communicate with end users, IT personnel and assist with the configuration of Video Conferencing, VOIP phones and Remote Management setups. Finally the applicant should be highly proficient in signal flow, troubleshooting and possess strong communication skills for interaction and training purposes with clients.
Training can and will be provided to the proper candidates with relevant experience.
Responsibilities :
Test / de-bug programming GUI, and code to complete onsite commissioning
Set-up / Configure AMX, Crestron, Biamp and BSS devices to complete onsite commissioning.
Commission full Video Tele-Conferencing, and Audio Conferencing systems.
Review Statement of work and CAD drawling’s prior to close-out to assure readiness
Manage personal schedule in regards to projects per Project Services schedule
Update the Director of Project Services daily on Project Status
Have Weekly meetings with Project Services
Update client on Daily status / manage client relations
Assist with Shop Testing on systems prior to onsite integration
Interact and coordinate with general Contractors, Electrical Contractors to assure project integration and completion.
Oversee and Quality control all assigned Projects to meet the overall company standard of work.
Provide Client Trainings and gather close-out materials.
Manage subordinate employees time and travel arrangements to assigned projects - when needed.
Provide updated project documentation aka “Red Lines” to Engineering
Provide a testing report of Final Project implementation.
Education and skills :
CTS / CTS-I Certified is a plus
Familiar with Crestron, AMX, Biamp, and Cisco - certifications are a plus
High School diploma or GED required. A formal education in a related field is preferred
Flexible to travel or work overtime when needed
Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable means of transportation
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Able to work with others, takes pride in their own work, and has strong communication skills.
