Now Hiring: 1st Shift Quality Administrator/Inspector
Location: Auburn, NY Schedule: Full-time, 1st Shift Industry: General Aviation / Manufacturing
Pay scale: $20.00-$25.00/hr. based on experience
We're seeking a Quality Administrator/Inspector with hands-on experience to join our Quality team. This role offers the perfect blend of administrative precision, technical inspection, and continuous improvement-ideal for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and quality-focused.
What You'll Do:
Document & Data Management
- Create, update, and maintain quality-related documentation (SOPs, work instructions, policies, and records)
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and easily accessible
- Manage both electronic and physical quality records systems
Quality System Support
- Assist in implementing and maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS)
- Support internal and external audits (preparation, documentation, and follow-up)
- Help ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable industry standards
Inspection Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on finished precision-machined parts, in-process checks, and incoming materials
- Conduct first piece, first article, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
- Interpret blueprints and apply geometric tolerancing principles
- Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues
- Identify opportunities to enhance inspection and documentation processes
Teamwork & Communication
- Collaborate across departments to uphold quality standards
- Communicate findings, concerns, and improvements clearly
- Assist in training team members on quality procedures
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in quality assurance/control, especially in manufacturing, is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of QMS, ISO 9001, and industry regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with electronic document management systems and precision measurement tools
