Plant Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of production processes, ensuring the plant operates efficiently and meets production goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job Description

• Supervises the daily activities of production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate workers to reach benchmarks as they work toward the completion of the project.
• Coordinates work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.
• Monitors production activity, identifies process problems, communicate if there are setbacks to troubleshoot causes and develop solutions.
• Assist in new part set-up and in other areas as required.
• Regularly reporting on a project’s progress as it moves forward to Management. Review shipping plan for projects in conjunction with planning and Logistics team.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues. Identify errors in parts or supplies and reports issues to Planning, Engineering, and Purchasing.
• Ensure all required materials are available in a timely manner to not delay project execution.
• Maintains and promote good housekeeping.
• Delivers or coordinates staff training and on-boards new staff.
• Taking the necessary measures to protect health and safety to prevent work-related accidents.
• Confirm quantity – routine checks.
• Learn operation of all machines and processes. Willing to fill in on production when required.
• Ensure staffing is maintained at an adequate level to meet production needs.
• Performs Annual Reviews
• Communicate regularly with planning and engineering

Skills/Qualifications

• 2-3 years of supervisory experience in the manufacturing sector
• Sheet Metal Fabrication experience an asset.
• You have strong communication skills, can take initiative, and lead a team.
• Flexible and hands-on professional who can successfully direct, motivate and train employees.
• Ability to make critical decisions to accomplish production goals.
• Ability to solve problems and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Office applications ( Excel, Outlook, Teams)
