Position Summary: A Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data to help organizations make informed business decisions. They leverage data analysis techniques, BI tools, and technologies to extract meaningful insights, visualize data, and provide actionable recommendations to improve business processes, performance, and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection and Analysis:

• Gather, clean, and process large sets of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud-based platforms.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and outliers in the data.
• Analyze historical, current, and predictive data to identify key business metrics and performance indicators.

1. Data Visualization and Reporting:

• Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• Present complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Design customized reports based on business needs and user requirements.

1. Data Modeling and Forecasting:

• Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics processes.
• Perform forecasting and trend analysis to assist in decision-making and strategic planning.
• Identify key data sources for business intelligence solutions and integrate them into reporting tools.

1. Collaboration and Consultation:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., marketing, sales, finance, operations) to understand data requirements and business goals.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data findings to drive business improvements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in BI tools and data analysis methodologies to ensure accurate and effective reporting.

1. Data Governance and Quality:

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various data sources and platforms.
• Monitor data usage and quality to ensure it adheres to compliance standards and organizational policies.
• Maintain documentation of processes and best practices related to BI reporting and analytics.

1. Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor and evaluate business performance by comparing actual data with forecasted targets or historical trends.
• Identify performance gaps and areas for optimization based on data analysis.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance business efficiency and decision-making.

1. Tool and Technology Management:

• Stay current with the latest BI tools, technologies, and trends to enhance reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Recommend new BI tools and technologies to improve reporting efficiency and data accessibility.
