We are looking for skilled assemblers to join our amazing team! The Electrical Assembler would be responsible for performing a variety of assembly operations to assemble quality units involving a number of parts and details.
AVTRON IS LOOKING FOR:
1st SHIFT ASSEMBLERS for both our Halle & Allen Facilities. (6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday through Friday)
2nd SHIFT ASSEMBLERS for our Allen Facility. (2:00pm – 12:30am, Monday through Thursday)
Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, 2nd shift offers a $2.50 shift differential

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support assembly Team Members to ensure the safe assembly of electrical & mechanical components.
- Read and comprehend assembly Work Instructions, Engineering specifications, quality instructions, and safety instructions.
- Read and comprehend Bill of Material (BOM) and Work Order for sub-assembly and final assembly.
- Utilize small hand and power tools; cordless drill, pneumatic nut driver, electric nut driver, cable strippers, etc. for electrical assembly tasks.
- Operate small overhead crane w/powered hoist to pick/place components for assembly.
- Identify non-conforming parts during the assembly process to prevent poor quality passed to next operation.
- Route wiring in and out of raceway achieving a well-organized appearance per schematics. Land wire ends into terminal strips, load contactors, etc. per schematics.
- Assemble piping components for leak-free water use.
- Participate in natural High Performance Team (HPT) through LEAN initiatives and Kaizens to promote continuous improvement for World Class production.
- Must have High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior electrical & mechanical assembly experience a plus.
- Ability to perform simple shop math.
- Good mechanical aptitude; use of hand tools and use of measuring tools.
- Must be able to lift or move light to heavy weight materials up to 45 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to read and understand electrical & mechanical drawings & schematics.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work individually and with a Team.
