Job Summary
Avtron Power Solutions Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that parts, products and systems meet established standards & requirements. Performs various inspection operations (receiving, in-process, or final) from simple to complex on parts, products, or systems. Participates in the processing of nonconforming items. Spends a limited amount of time giving technical assistance, work direction and/or training to other production personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Demonstrates Avtron Power Solutions values and shares the organizational commitment to ensuring quality products
· Inspects incoming received parts per drawing, assists PIC Receiving Clerk with rejections Frequent interface with buyers to resolve purchased material discrepancies
· Performs In-Process inspections on products
· Performs Final inspections on products and systems after Test and prior to shipment
· Works closely with Quality, Manufacturing and Design Engineering to improve inspection methods and to resolve problems encountered during manufacturing assembly alongside the manufacturing engineer
· Sets up, maintains and uses inspection equipment
· Oversees calibration of equipment
· Performs 6S methodology
· Promotes a safe work environment

Requirements and Qualifications
· Requires specialized knowledge in the principles of electronics, electricity and mechanics encompassing blueprint reading, wiring schematics, engineering drawings, etc., and to use standard and specialized inspection equipment
· Working knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 quality standard
· Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out and OSHA requirements
· Ability to learn and apply knowledge of Avtron Power Solutions expectations regarding quality of parts, products and systems
· Associate’s degree preferred in Engineering or related field; or high school diploma with equivalent experience in manufacturing operations for 5 years
· Good communication and social skills are mandatory
· 5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations with inspection experience
· Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
