Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management, including familiarity with ISO 9001 and API Q1 practices.
Quality manager is a leadership role reporting directly to the Director. The position entails overall responsibility for the quality strategy and fostering a culture of continuous improvements.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 including tracking and reporting of quality KPIs and improvement actions.
- Drive a robust quality culture to ensure world-class quality across Engineering, Supplier, Manufacturing, and Construction sectors, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering profitable growth.
- Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze data from quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fabricate solutions that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide guidance and driving initiatives for processes and systems globally across all business areas.
- Ensure quality system standards certification or compliance requirements are maintained successfully.
- Perform a technical integrity check of the technical requisition.
- Develop and implement risk-based inspection strategy and assign criticality rating to material/ equipment.
- Develop and monitor quality requirements for contractor in consultation with Avvinya and Clients.
- Develop and monitor inspection and test requirements and review inspection and test plan for construction project.
- Review and provide feedback on contractor quality documents for assigned construction projects.
- Management of quality team for timely completion of bid reviews, clarifications through to supplier award, inspection, inspector performance assessment and supplier performance assessment.
- Provide guidance to the field inspectors and assigned inspection coordinators.
- Verify installation of facility systems is consistent with the final design (i.e., plot plans, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, manufacturer drawings, and electrical classification drawings)
- Review technical queries and non-conformity reports.
- Management of any non-conformances or punch list items resultant of inspections to ensure they are satisfactorily closed out by rectification or concession before equipment is released for shipment.
- Ensure that all inspection records are adequately stored as per project requirements and approval of inspection agency invoices.
- Conduct various inspections during receiving & installation of static & rotating equipment at site.
- Participate in facility walk-through and accepting final deliverables.
Qualifications
- Recognized four years bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Industrial engineering and/or at least 5 years’ industry work experience in lieu of degree.
- 15 years of engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, test and/or reliability and commissioning.
- Experience in Oil & Gas industry is must.
- Minimum 5 years Quality management system audit experience.
- General management/supervision capabilities to coordinate activities of technical personnel.
- High level of knowledge in upstream oil/gas project Quality Assurance and Quality Control methods and systems.
- High level of knowledge of industry fabrication standards for oil/gas operating facilities.
- Previous international experience/knowledge preferred.
- Effectively manages change to work tasks and the work environment and assists others with adapting to change.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity

- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
