About the role |Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga
Our busy Dunedin Laboratory provides service to both the Hospital and Community and is looking for a suitably qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist to work in the Biochemistry department. The department is well-equipped with modern analysers and automated systems. Your role will see you performing laboratory testing with a high degree of skill and confidence.
This is a full-time permanent role (80 hours per fortnight), with core hours Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. However, the essential service we provide 24/7 also demands flexibility, with the successful candidate also being required to participate in the out of hours roster.
About you | He kōrero mōu
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Full registration or eligibility to register with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
- A current Annual or Interim Practicing Certificate. However, recent graduates in the process of obtaining this will also be considered.
- Experience within the discipline of Biochemistry would be an advantage.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team are key attributes.
