What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bench Jeweler or Jeweler Apprentice position at Award Concepts, inc.?
Previous experience as a jeweler or in similar role 2 Years.
The Bench Jeweler role will require use of hand/power tools to set gemstones and diamonds, solder/repair emblems/ring. Also responsible in maintaining their tools and equipment and for managing the workshop supplies, precious metal parts (findings), and stones needed to complete jobs. They will also maintain the shop and personal workspace in a clean, organized, presentable, and efficient manner. Typical skills to be demonstrated:
· Chain and clasp repair
· Laser welder
· Re-tipping prongs
· Setting stones
· Creating mountings
· Performing minor or major ring repair and other jewelry repairs
o Individuals with a high standard for quality work
o Attention to safety
o Ability to manage production schedules and workflow
o Ability to stay focused on projects and meet deadlines
o Ability to work quickly and precisely with tools ,machines, and open flame (torch)
o Knowledge of precious metals assembly and fabrication techniques
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
