About the Opportunity :
Job Title : Machinist
Pay Rate Range : $22-25 / Hour
Location : Plymouth, MN
Schedule : 1st Shift, M-F, 8-hour shifts starting at 5,6, or 7, or, M-Th, 4 10-hour shifts, O / T required from time to time.
Position Type : Temp to Hire
Machinist Requirements and Qualifications :
- One-year certificate from college or technical school and five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Must have working knowledge to read and interpret prints.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic skills in CNC programming and precision hand tools are required.
- Stand more than 1 / 3 of the time.
- Walk more than 1 / 3 of the time.
- Sit under 1 / 3 of the time.
- Use hands and fingers and arms over 2 / 3 of the time.
- No Kneeling, Crawling, Stooping, or Climbing.
- Lifting items under 10 / 25 pounds 2 / 3 of the time.
- Lifting items under 50 pounds 1 / 3 of the time.
- No lifting of items over 50 pounds.
