- Job Title: Press Break Operator and Setup
- Pay Rate Range: $25-27.50/Hour
- Location: Plymouth, MN
- Schedule: 1st Shift Mon-Thurs 5AM-3:30PM
- Position Type: Temp to Hire
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Degree or certificate from a vocational school and/or three years of experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and use a caliper to measure dimensions.
- Experience working with press brake, and sheet metal fabrication machines with ability to set up and operate.
- Required to lift material on an average of 20-75 pounds.
- Performing tasks to set up and operate most types of sheet metal machines including Amada/Accurpress, S-4, P-4, corner former and Apron brake to shear, punch and form metal or other stock.
- Looking at a print and the parts for that print, deciding what the best tooling would be to bend that part and picking the right machine to use.
- Assembling, aligning, and installing tooling to specifications using feelers, shims, templates, or other items as required by each part.
- Adjusting or programing machines for each item in accordance with shop routing and mechanical drawings.
