About the Opportunity :

  • Job Title : Shear Operator
  • Pay Rate Range : $18-24 / Hour
  • Location : Rogers, MN
  • Schedule : 1st Shift Mon-Fri 6AM-2 : 30PM with optional O / T.
  • Position Type : Temp to Hire

Shear Operator Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Previous experience as a Shear Operator or working with metal-cutting machinery preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move metal sheets (weight may vary, up to 75lbs).
  • Ability to manage time and work independently

    • Shear Operator Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Operate mechanical shears to cut metal sheets accurately.
  • Read and interpret work orders, and material specifications.
  • Adjust back gauges for precise cuts.
  • Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Handle and transport metal sheets safely to prevent damage.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
