Responsibilities:

All job tasks and functions must be performed under the auspices of AWARE's Core Values and Unconditional Care Philosophy:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term IT strategies aligned with business objectives, including technology roadmaps and budget planning. 
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the IT team, including network administrators, system analysts, security specialists, and help desk personnel. 
• Technology Evaluation: Assess new technologies and vendors to identify potential solutions for business needs. 
• Implementation and Deployment: Oversee the implementation of new IT systems and infrastructure upgrades. 
• Network Security: Ensure data security by implementing and maintaining robust network security protocols and disaster recovery plans. 
• Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including network outages and system malfunctions. 
• Budget Management: Monitor and control IT budget, including hardware, software, and service costs. 
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and data privacy standards.  
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their technology needs and communicate IT initiatives effectively. 

Requirements

Talents, skills, and abilities:  

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. 
• Must have five (5) years’ experience in IT leadership roles.
• Knowledge of information technology systems and administration and office management systems. Excellent written and oral communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skills are required.  
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, network technologies, cybersecurity, and system administration.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and manage a diverse IT team. 
• Business Acumen: Strong analytical skills to align IT strategies with business goals. 
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Project Management Skills: Ability to plan, execute, and monitor IT projects within budget and timelines.
