Aware is a global leader in identity authentication, utilizing proven and trusted biometrics to secure and validate identities across various industries. We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to join our executive team and lead our global sales, business development, and demand generation efforts. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, expanding our market presence, and shaping Aware’s go-to-market strategies.

As the CRO, you will be responsible for leading all revenue-generating functions and executing strategies that will accelerate the adoption of Aware’s innovative biometrics solutions. Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for leading the organization’s Business Development, Sales, Capture, and Proposal efforts with overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding company product and SaaS revenue growth goals.
  • Develop, manage and drive the company book of business across all products and service offerings driving sales directly, through channels or enterprise sales or ecommerce achieving Company KPI’s
  • Develop overarching sales strategy and short / mid / long term market plan of attack mapped to goals (with tactics and timeline to achieve)
  • Own and deliver revenue and backlog-based goals and adjust go to market and ecommerce strategy to expand the client base
  • Responsible for establishing Aware as a recognized major player in authentication in software through business connections and promotions and Industry visibility
  • Ensure performance and strategic alignment of sales and marketing, account and demand teams against revenue-based targets including robust tracking and accountability throughout account management, and customer success and revenue operations
  • Develop and manage a world class diverse business development and sales team that drives business growth across verticals and horizontals sharing accountability with marketing and operations to improve the customer experience creating demand for our products and service
  • Drive and manage a top-down approach to training new sales recruits, processing new orders, and growing the sales team.
  • Collaborate with consulting teams and account managers on customer satisfaction and discuss the probability for renewal and potential for expansion.
  • Optimize the marketing team’s efforts in discovering net new leads.  Effectively track the progression of net new leads through opportunity creation, closed-won, and new customers and corrective actions.
  • Ability to convey to the entire organization how sales and marketing work in tandem with equal importance
  • Develop a clear and effective consultive sales, account management and channel team that provides lasting strong customer satisfaction and referenceable relationships as well as clear transparent account performance forecasting
  • Align and lead all revenue-generating departments and build, train and continuously elevate the sales and marketing team performance to meet objectives and drive the desired results through a culture of commitment and accountability
  • Develop successful methods to prospect, qualify, and close opportunities that deploy Aware software solutions
  • Drive results through clear and focused methodologies to leverage products and services sales through ecommerce or enterprise or integrated resellers
  • Responsible for the development and execution of go to market for ecommerce and overall sales plan and business model and pricing to capture the identified market and targets for the products and SaaS offerings
  • Effectively manage P&L; develop, plan, forecast and manage overall client facing budget and accounts
  • Detect market trends and customer authentication desires and needs and flow those findings back to marketing and product management and engineering to ensure customer benefits are being translated into product and offerings to improve sales leverage and differentiation in the market and improve the Return on investment

Qualifications and Experience

  • Industry Experience : Proven experience in biometrics and / or identity is required
  • Leadership : Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive teams toward achieving ambitious revenue and growth targets.
  • Enterprise Sales : Extensive experience in selling to large enterprise clients and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Track Record : Demonstrated success in driving double-digit revenue growth and market adoption of SaaS and software solutions.
  • Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills : Ability to leverage data analytics to identify sales opportunities and optimize business development strategies.
  • Travel : Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
