We are seeking a motivated and hard-working individual to join our team in Odessa, Texas.

The Accumulator/Closing Unit Technician performs physical tasks in the shop, warehouse or in the field. As a member of the AWC team, this person will work in a manner that aligns with AWC’s Core Values of Safety, People, Integrity, Quality and Dedication.

Essential Job Duties

  • Inspects, rebuilds, operates, tests, and troubleshoots equipment.
  • Monitors, evaluates and suggests adjustments to processes or equipment that maximize quality and efficiency.
  • Operates equipment and materials following OEM guidelines as well as standard operating procedures.
  • Completes records and associated documentation.
  • Responsible for the painting of equipment.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate standard process.
  • General housekeeping duties and ground maintenance including but not limited to the preparation of shop and company vehicles.
  • May operate heavy machinery if properly certified.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Minimum

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% to field locations for equipment repair
  • Ability to communicate and interpret a variety of verbal and written instructions
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work long hours when required


Preferred

  • Technical training in Hydraulics, Mechanics, or electrical/electronics
  • Relevant experience as a shop technician in the oil and gas industry
  • Welding experience
  • Mechanical, hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience with accumulator/closing unit maintenance


Work Hours

  • Availability for rotating call for after normal operating hours, weekends, and holidays is required.
