Position Summary :
Awe is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Merchant to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in scaling and optimizing our product line and driving growth through data-driven analysis and collaboration. Full P & L accountability. You'll work closely with leads of both Merchandising and Product Development to understand and implement our overall Merchandise strategy, ensuring in-stock positioning and maximizing revenue potential. This role will be expected to report 2-3 days a week into our Hollywood office.
Key Responsibilities :
Merchandise Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to meet sales, margin, and company OKRs.
- Lead SKU planning, assortment strategies, and seasonal promotions to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends and consumer insights to optimize category performance.
- Create and implement pricing and promotional strategies aligned with brand positioning and financial goals.
- Manage OTB KPIs and ensure strong inventory positioning.
- Collaborate with Design & PD to evolve product assortment based on analytics and feedback.
- Stay updated on market trends, recommending changes to enhance the digital customer experience.
- Actively contribute to PD reviews, ensuring alignment on positioning, pricing, and margin.
Business Analytics & Growth
Monitor sales, margin, and sell-through to identify risks and opportunities.React to in-season trends using data insights and competitive intelligence.Analyze SKU performance for efficiency and profitability.Lead merchandising data ceremonies, ensuring insights are consistently leveraged across the organization.E-Commerce & Marketplace Optimization
Partner with the digital team on online merchandising, site navigation, and A / B testing.Analyze site metrics and user behavior to optimize conversion.Drive personalization and whitespace opportunities to enhance customer engagement.Develop marketplace assortments tailored to channel-specific audiences, using data to expand reach and profitability.Product & PO Management
Support the product lifecycle by maintaining accurate line plans in Cin7 and Airtable.Ensure clear communication of product delivery flows, SKUs, and system updates.Keep the IMC updated for product launches and marketing handoffs.Participate in costing analysis and propose retail pricing to hit margin targets.Proofread PDPs for accuracy and clarity.Manage PR gifting units and execution in collaboration with marketing.Analyze category sales data and present insights to the Product Development team.Own pricing strategy, including pricing systems and experimentation.Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Development
Liaise across Merchandising, Creative, Marketing, Planning, PD, and Operations to align on launches and campaigns.Present assortment strategies and insights to leadership.Encourage a consumer-centric feedback loop across teams.Mentor junior team members and drive process innovation within merchandising.Qualifications :
4 years in merchandising at a high-SKU DTC brand (jewelry preferred).Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros).Proficiency in Shopify, Airtable, and Cin7 a plus.Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive.Strong analytical and communication skills.Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.Expert in Google Suite and data storytelling with compelling visual presentations.Benefits :
