Quality Assurance (QA) Associate - Job Description

Chester, PA: Not a Remote Position

The Quality Assurance Associate position is located at AWE Learning’s corporate headquarters in Chester, PA. The Quality Assurance Associate plays a vital role in ensuring product quality by performing tasks like testing, inspecting, and documenting processes, while also identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

· Testing Knowledge: Understanding different testing methodologies (e.g., manual, automated, regression) and knowing when to use each one is crucial.

· Software Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software and tools used for testing and quality management is a plus.

· Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw conclusions to inform quality improvement efforts.

· Documentation: Proficiency in documenting test cases, procedures, and findings accurately and clearly.

· Industry-Specific Knowledge: Depending on the industry (e.g., software, manufacturing, healthcare), specific knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and processes is important.

Soft Skills:

· Attention to Detail: The ability to spot subtle defects or errors that others might miss is vital.

· Problem-Solving: The capacity to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues effectively.

· Communication: Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

· Analytical Thinking: The ability to think critically, break down complex problems, and identify root causes.

· Teamwork: Working effectively with others, including developers, product managers, and other QA professionals.

· Adaptability: The willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies and adapt to changing requirements.

· Time Management: The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement quality control processes.

· Conduct regular quality assessments of our products, including both physical and functional testing.

· Identify and troubleshoot any quality issues and collaborate with the production team to resolve them.

· Maintain detailed records of quality assessments and any issues identified.

· Communicate quality issues to the appropriate teams or individuals and provide recommendations for improvement.

· Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and consistency.

· Stay up to date with industry trends and advances in quality control and assurance.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree.

· Proven experience in quality assurance or a related field.

· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.

· Experience in developing and implementing quality control processes.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
