About the Position:
The Facilities Associate assists in venue preparation for guest use by performing various duties. These include providing access to venues by assisting and escorting suppliers during load-ins and load-outs, installing event and facility setups and teardowns according to diagrams and/or written instructions, arranging furniture and equipment, emptying garbage, and maintaining cleanliness. The associate also performs any other essential duties related to events as needed.
This role requires flexibility to accommodate the changing needs of events. Work hours may extend beyond the scheduled shift, including late evenings or early mornings, to ensure the completion of setups, load-ins, or load-outs.
The position offers entry-level, hands-on experience within event management and involves working closely with and taking direction from the Manager of Logistics as well as representatives from various departments hosting or coordinating events. Scheduling flexibility is essential, as hours will vary based on event requirements.
What You Will Do:
Essential Duties
- Assist/Escort vendors to and from designated event locations.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of furniture and equipment for special events and public programs.
- Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures for event setups, while safeguarding the integrity of the building.
- Assist with inventory management of event supplies and equipment.
- Respond to work requests through the centralized maintenance management system.
- Track assigned responsibilities using work orders in the centralized maintenance management system.
- Perform other duties as required.
