Position: Irrigation Technician
Reporting to: Manager of Irrigation and IPM
Location: Bentonville, Arkansas

The role of irrigation technician plays a critical role in our organization to ensure that our landscapes are irrigated with the latest in water management strategy and irrigated with well-maintained irrigation infrastructure.
About the Position:
The irrigation technician position for Art and Wellness will focus on the maintenance of our campus irrigation systems. The position plays a critical role in the upkeep of the system from providing day to day care of the system and it’s components to partnering with our grounds team and contractors during the design and installation process to insure that systems installed on our campus meet our high standards of excellence.
What you will do:
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine checks and audits of our irrigation system. Identify issues and take correct actions to address breaks, leaks, coverage issues, etc.
- Respond to work orders and work requests to repair irrigation system issues that will arrive. Issues may range from adjustments to controller run times, breaks in sprinklers and water lines, to more extensive repairs that require trenching and more significant repairs.
- Perform winterization of irrigation system.
- Install new irrigation systems.
- Work with landscapers, horticulturists, and grounds operation leadership to adjust irrigation scheduling and coverage for optimal plant health and water efficiency.
- Perform basic system troubleshooting, including wiring and controller issues.
- Perform maintenance and installation of drip irrigation systems.
- Address landscape maintenance issues as they relate to irrigation maintenance. Including repair of turf for trenching, replanting plants, clean up of sidewalks and surfaces from mud, repairing mulch, etc.
- Support landscape teams with project landscaping work- and weather-related events as required to maintain grounds.
Qualifications required for your success:
- Well-rounded understanding of landscaping and irrigation maintenance.
- Technical training in irrigation.
- A strong working knowledge and aptitude to identify irrigation system components.
- Highest ethics as they relate to all aspects of business
- General skillset with using computers and mobile tablets or similar devices to manage digital information.
- Comfortable working outside in all different types of weather conditions and natural environments with rugged terrain.
- Excellent people and customer service skills that are based on courtesy, respect, and approachability.
