Coastal Welding Supply / AWG is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bulk Dispatch Coordinator to help oversee and manage the daily operations of our truck dispatch team. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of logistics, and the ability to efficiently coordinate drivers, schedules, and routes to ensure timely deliveries and optimal performance.

Duties:
- Coordinate with the dispatch team to ensure smooth operations and efficient delivery schedules. Scheduling freight to be picked up and delivered
- Coordinate and assign routes to drivers based on customer demands, traffic conditions, and company priorities. Reviewing logs of truck drivers
- Monitor the status of deliveries and address any issues or delays promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction. Completing paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices
- Maintain up-to-date records of driver activity, delivery schedules, and route changes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues related to transportation or delivery.
- Prepare and manage dispatch schedules, ensuring optimal driver productivity and minimizing downtime.
- Ensure that all trucks are properly maintained and meet safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the transportation or truck dispatching industry.
- Strong leadership and team building skills.
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to think quickly in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, including DOT and safety standards.
- Proficiency in dispatch software, routing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.
