What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at AWG - American Welding and Gas?
Coastal Welding Supply-AWG Company, has an immediate opening for a Material Handler/Transfer Team at our in facility in Beaumont, TX!
This position is responsible for efficiently loading and unloading products for customers and internal branches on a daily basis, while ensuring accurate tracking of materials as they enter and exit the facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Transfer cylinders and cylinder bundles onto pallets for storage or delivery.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload cylinder transfers onto trucks and trailers, following provided load lists.
- Organize and manage full and empty assets on-site to ensure optimal storage and access.
- Perform extensive outdoor work in various weather conditions, handling materials as required.
- Utilize mobile phone-based equipment to accurately track the movement of assets into and out of the facility.
- Other duties assigned
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Able to read and write English
- Mechanically inclined
- Technical skills
- Computer skills
