Auto Wares Group of Companies is a leading provider of high-quality aftermarket parts and coatings, dedicated to innovation and customer satisfaction. Currently, we are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Automotive Paint Technical Representative to join our dynamic team in our greater Louisville and southern Indiana Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts market.
A successful applicant will need to be able to take the lead in understanding the customers needs and provide an overall product and technical/process solution that benefits the customer and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain current mixing and large coatings accounts. These accounts will be assigned to you within a given territory.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers regarding automotive paint products and applications.
- Provide on-site support and training to clients on paint application techniques and product usage.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for customer retention and growth.
- Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers and internal staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to paint products and applications.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product development and improvements.
- Understand the customers processes, identify gaps within and provide solutions utilizing training resources, products, equipment, processes, etc.
- Target competitive suppliers and products within the account and provide options and strategies to convert business to our distribution channel.
Assist sales team in establishing new coating customers:
- Work with store sales team and management to develop potential coating customers.
- Communicating with Store Sales Team and Management using CRM with summary of any contact with customers
- Identify customers needs and develop solutions that can be provided as a customer of Auto Wares
- Present features and benefits to a partnership with Auto Wares
Other responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Assist ordering process as needed.
- Attend manufacturer training annually as needed or directed.
- Attend planning meetings as needed or directed.
- Participate in conferences, tradeshows and other events as required.
- Participate in weekly sales call to remain current on AWI offerings
- Support installs, changeovers, store moves, etc. company wide as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive paint technology or a related field.
- Strong understanding of paint formulations, application techniques, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Proficient in using software tools for documentation and reporting.
