AWI Management Corp. is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance at a 51 unit apartment community in Laguna Hills, CA. Experience in affordable housing (RD/LIHTC) , general maintenance, and landscaping is preferred.
This is a Part Time position at 20-25 hours a week.
Starting pay is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
Housing is not available with the position.
Requirements:
Valid CA Driver’s License
Reliable Transportation
Authorized to work in the United States
Qualifications / Skills:
Able to communicate across various audience levels
Competency in MS Office and relevant databases and software
Highly proficient in math
Well organized with excellent time management skills
Maintain a positive, productive relationship with tenants, vendors, and corporate staff
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to manage emergency situations
Proficient in meeting strict deadlines
Professionalism
General building maintenance skills (painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
General grounds keeping skills
Listening
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing all aspects of assigned properties
Process applicant paperwork, screening applicants, obtaining landlord references, ensure all paperwork including lease and house rules receive signatures, re-certifications of current tenants, conducting move-ins and move–outs
Collecting rents and security deposits
Enforcing lease and house rules
Inspect and arrange maintenance to meet standards
Maintaining excellent curb appeal
Advertise and market vacant units to attract tenants
Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action item
Timely completion of maintenance request, work orders and ensure tenant’s maintenance needs are being met
Perform preventative maintenance duties
Maintaining excellent curb appeal
Follow company policies and procedures
