The Paint Applicator is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance duties within the paint department.
The Paint Applicator is responsible for, but not limited to, painting awning frames, performing inspections, clean
up, proper storage and disposal of paint products, and operating various tools and equipment.
Essential job duties and responsibilities include:
- Prepare and paint a variety of surfaces but mainly aluminum.
- Responsible for the application of industrial coating in a confined space.
- Rig large awnings for the purpose of moving them in the process of applying paint.
- Select the appropriate tools necessary to execute the proper application of paint.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment and observe good safety habits and practices.

Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat procedures with respect to the storage and handling of materials in the paint
department. - Follow special instructions and requirements to ensure work is performed in a cost-conscious manner.
- Communicate with the supervisor to determine any specific instructions for the job before paint application.
- Keep all equipment in good operation condition by following routine maintenance.
- Operate power tools and other necessary equipment and perform tasks necessary to complete prep to awnings before painting.
- Prepare setup of necessary tools and equipment.
- Report paint issues and assist in resolutions as required.
- Suggest tools and equipment to improve operations.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory.
- Replace paint booth filters as needed and document the replacement of the filters as instructed.
Work Environment:
- Paint department, climate and non-climate controlled.
- Heavy lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Working in the paint booth.
