About AWRY:

We make bold, boundary-pushing men’s underwear, athletic wear, loungewear, swimwear & more. We take risks, move fast, and create clothes that make a statement.

We’re looking for a driven, growth oriented, and detail-obsessed product designer who can take ideas from sketch to finished product, someone who thrives in a fast-moving startup, owns their work, and wants to grow with the brand.

What You’ll Do:

Full-Cycle Product Design: Take concepts from ideation to production, ensuring every piece fits, feels, and performs flawlessly.

Technical Development: Create detailed tech packs (flat sketches, construction details, BOMs, measurements) for manufacturers.

Fit & Function Optimization: Lead sample fittings, refine patterns, and perfect the fit to match our bold aesthetic.

Material & Construction Innovation: Source high-performance fabrics, trims, and finishes that enhance style and comfort.

Factory Collaboration: Work with manufacturers to troubleshoot issues, refine prototypes, and ensure production quality.

Rapid Iteration & Problem-Solving: Move fast, adapt to feedback, and push designs to the next level.

You’re Perfect If You:

Have 3 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in menswear, athleticwear, underwear, or swimwear.

Can design for both aesthetics & function—you understand how to make apparel flattering, sexy, and wearable.

Have strong technical skills in:

  • Pattern-making & garment construction (you can spot a fit or quality issue instantly).
  • Fabric and trim sourcing (you know where to find the good stuff).
  • Tech pack creation (flat sketches, BOMs, grading specs, and construction details).

Have experience managing relationships with domestic & overseas factories.

Thrive in a startup environment—you take initiative, move quickly, and own your results.

Can problem-solve on the fly—if something isn’t working, you figure it out and fix it.

Are obsessed with quality and details—you won’t put your name on something half-baked.

Have a strong portfolio showing designs that are bold, performance-driven, and modern.

Hey, if you're reading this, great! Please include your favorite color in your cover letter.

Bonus Points if You:

Have worked with disruptive DTC apparel brands.

Have experience with 3D garment design for digital prototyping.

Have a network of factory connections for sourcing and production.

Have experience with sustainable fabrics or innovative textile development.

Can thrive in a high-accountability, high-performance team where results matter.
