AWT Labels & Packaging is currently searching for a Rewind Operator at our Minneapolis production facility focused on labeling and packaging conversion. This position will work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 4:20pm to 4:20am.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Check to ensure that parts meet requirements of specs and order.
- Be sure all product requirements are understood before starting each job and able to rewind job with information provided.
- Ensure that all paperwork is legible and accurate.
- Gather materials as needed for jobs to be completed in order of ship date.
- Ensure that counter is set correctly, determine correct repeat and that correct tensions are set.
- Ensure that appropriate accessories (i.e., blades) are used.
- Continuously inspects product to ensure that finished product meets order and spec requirements and that any flagged product is removed.
- Ensure that rewind checklist and all other paperwork including core labels are accurate.
- Finished product is stacked and neatly organized for next operation.
- Follow SOP’s as trained (ISO).
- Be actively involved and interface with day-to-day department process management and be aware of department workload, activities and performance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiative to ensure customer satisfaction and that all jobs meet or exceed estimated times.
- Able to work in an environment of changing priorities.
Physical Job Demands:
Requires substantial twisting and bending, able to stand for long periods of time, must be able to lift 30 lbs. to waist level without assistance.

Education and Experience Requirement:
High School – OR Equivalent GED.
Method to Measure Performance:
Employee must complete the training/orientation period (usually 90 days). They are evaluated at 6 months and one year, and thereafter at their annual review.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
