Job Title : Safety Specialist - Process Safety Management and Hazardous Materials
Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our Axalta Mount Clemens team. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards and effective hazardous material management across our Mount Clemens site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs to minimize risks associated with hazardous materials and chemical processes while fostering a culture of safety throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities :
Process Safety Management (PSM) :
- Develop, implement, and maintain PSM programs in compliance with OSHA's 1910.119 standard and other applicable regulations.
- Participate in process hazard analyses (PHAs) and risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks associated with chemical processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to review and improve process safety procedures and controls.
- Lead incident investigations related to process safety, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
