Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of automotive finishes. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of excellence. Also bring their own paint gun to the site as well as DA sander.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Apply paint using various methods including airless paint spraying and traditional brush techniques.
- Mix paints and finishes according to specifications to achieve desired colors and textures. (All paint is pre mixed)
- Inspect finished work for quality assurance, ensuring that all surfaces are smooth and free of imperfections.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing basic repairs as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and preferences.
Skills
- Experience with paint spraying techniques is mandatory including ‘blending and other techniques familia’
- a bonus! Would be paid separately for this service!!!
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients. A MUST!
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
- Mechanic skills may enhance the ability to perform related tasks effectively within the shop environment.
- Experience working in a body shop setting is mandatory!
