Global Financial Firm located in Irving, TX has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Application Database Administrator (DBA)
"This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement.

• Reference Data management team is looking to hire experienced application DBA.
Candidate should be excellent and meet following criteria -
(1) Leadership

(7) 12 Years of industry Experience
(8) Handle high priority projects
Job Purpose:
• Provide Application Database support to the entire reference data team for its enhancements.
• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance tuning of the databases that support the system.
• Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance.
• To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
• Responsible for problem escalation to Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
• Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS on RHEL 7/8
• Oracle database optimization for hybrid data processing
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server and MySQL is a plus
• Experience with CyberArk, Redhat OpenShift, Autosys, ServiceNowq is a plus.
• Experience with NOSQL DB is a plus
