Job Opportunity at Client : Shipping / Receiving Clerk I
Shift - 1st, 6am-3 : 30pm. The plant follows a 9 / 8-0 schedule. Every other Friday, the plant is closed.
Payrate - 21.00
Start : ASAP

Job Title : US-Westminster-Shipping / Receiving Clerk I-1st shift
What You'll Do
Responsible for accurate physical receiving of materials / product in order to maintain integrity of inventory control. Ensure delivery of materials / product to the proper department.
In this Function You Will
- Count, weigh, or measure items of incoming shipment in order to verify information against sales orders / customer requirements, bills of lading or other records
- Examine and unpack incoming or outgoing shipments, reject damaged items
- Examine incoming shipments to ensure they meet specifications
- Operate lift truck or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage area
- Check on inbound inventory and administer the processing / shipment
- Trace and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Responsible for monitoring the returns process
- Sort, count, identify, verify and track all material by utilizing Oracle to maintain accurate inventory records
- Verify shipments and log them according to required procedures
- Investigate and resolve situations where items received are not properly documented in the daily receipt log
- Assist management in recycling material in the warehouse
- Cooperate with representatives from other departments in the organization to provide warehouse information as requested
- Perform regular material warehouse audits to ensure that material is undamaged and maintained neatly throughout the warehouse
- Ensure that all documents and material used in the warehouse are of satisfactory quality
- Safely utilize forklifts and power jacks to move warehouse materials according to proper safety instructions and as directed
Required Qualifications
1 year Shipping / Receiving Experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution Center environment; Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills; Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
Excellent prioritizing and organizational skills.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks and stressful workload peaks.
US Citizen
Preferred Skills
1 Shipping / Receiving Experience in a Manufacturing or Distribution Center environment; Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts; experience using Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel is helpful.
