Job Summary
As an Axe Throwing Coach you will be an ambassador for exceptional service for our one-of-a-kind experience with indoor axe throwing. Must be able to work weekends. Must be at least 21 years old.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Leadership: represent the face of Axes & Armor to share our axe enthusiasm in a fun & professional manner.
- Coaching: help customers learn how to throw well enough to enjoy themselves.
- Operations: guide the smooth conduct of events, including tournament set-up, scoring, payment processing etc.
- Safety: ensure equipment is to standard, procedures followed, & first response delivered in exceptional cases.
- Facilities: support the entire Axes & Armor team get the job done, including concessions, set-up/clean-up etc. as needed.
- Participates in the sale of alcohol/wine and merchandise.
- Responsible for making sure service to guests is delivered in accordance with Axes & Armor Service standards at all times.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
- Assist guests regarding axe throwing experiences and booking.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to drive a truck with a 20 ft trailer attached
- Previous concessions experience required
- Previous point of sale system experience an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
