Resident Monitor Role

Schedule: Shift Worker (<20 hours/week)

PARC - Residential Treatment for Females Recovering from Substance Abuse.

General Statement of Duties: Oversee residents in a halfway house, maintain a therapeutic environment adhering to F&CS, Ohio MHAS, and COA standards, provide crisis intervention, and consult/report with supervisors.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a sober living environment, promote recovery skills, and exhibit a caring attitude.

2. Provide crisis intervention/de-escalation as needed, consulting with supervisors/house managers.

3. Establish trusting relationships with clients while modeling appropriate boundaries.

4. Monitor participants' service use and independence impact.

5. Submit accurate shift reports daily.

6. Participate in team planning, case reviews, and program goal achievement.

7. Contribute to creating a positive program image in the community.

8. Attend agency and training meetings as requested.

9. Fulfill assigned duties.

10. Comply with agency policies, COA regulations, federal/state requirements, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Experience providing supportive services (monitoring, case management, crisis intervention, AOD services) for individuals in recovery.

2. Ability to model open communication, fair treatment, and conflict management.

3. Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and positions.

4. Ability to work in stressful environments.

5. Valid Ohio Driver's License and meeting agency driving insurability requirements.

6. Meet agency random drug screen and background check requirements.

7. Effective communication and de-escalation skills.

8. Ability to maintain therapeutic boundaries.

9. Knowledge of sober living and recovery skills, client empowerment, and a caring attitude.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Related experience or relevant coursework preferred.

At least 1 year of experience preferred.

Compensation: $13-$15 per hour.
