Job Title: Drilling Operations Technician
As a key member of the workover rig crew, you will support the crew in operating functions, including driving the workover rig as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the workover crew in operating functions, under direction from the field supervisor or customer representative.
- Inspect and oversee the setting up, taking down, and transportation of assigned workover rigs.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting on all service equipment.
- Monitor, test, install, lift, and remove equipment using proper job and safety procedures.
- Train and direct the crew on safety and job procedures.
- Manage job safety analysis and daily maintenance programs for the rig, ensuring crew understanding.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years of workover rig experience, with two years of operational and safety experience as a Derrick Hand and Floor Hand required.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR); Class A or B CDL preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to access the work environment by use of a ladder at heights of 50 ft. or more.
- Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of drilling operations.
