Job Title:
A Shop Technician position is available at {company}, a leading facility in the Axis Marmarth, ND area.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse and general shop activities under direct supervision. Key duties include but are not limited to:
- BOP preparation and testing
- Maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment
- Loading and unloading materials throughout the facility
- Performing general housekeeping duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepping and servicing blowout preventers (BOPs)
- Performing and documenting pressure tests for BOPs and other components
- Managing an inventory of expendable materials and parts
- Maintaining the facility's organization, including the testing station and storeroom
- Assisting with supply loading/unloading and equipment operation
- Cleaning the shop area, painting, and retrieving parts/tools as needed
- Installing and assisting with general repair/maintenance work when required
- Delivering/picking up parts, which may involve pulling a trailer
- Operating a forklift and other material-handling equipment
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Valid state-issued Class C driver's license; CDL is a plus
- At least one year of work experience in a warehouse setting, including material handling and heavy equipment operation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and writing skills
- Mobility and ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to interact with others in a team environment and work in fast-paced conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift operator certification
- Previous experience working with BOPs
