We have an opening for a Patient Service Representative (PSR), full time and benefited, at our Lexington Women's Health practice.
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) will have exemplary customer service and communication skills as the first and last point of contact for Axia Women’s Health patients visiting the office and for patients calling to schedule or change appointments or making other requests.
Essential Functions:
- Greeting patients and visitors, assisting, and directing them accordingly to the appropriate waiting area.
- Paging or phoning appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room.
- Explaining financial requirements to patients, collecting, and recording copayments as required.
- Performing registration functions for new and existing patients and activating patient files.
- Promptly and professionally answering and routing calls to appropriate personnel, paging, offering voicemail, or redirecting calls as needed.
- Retrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering service.
- Providing additional support to patients and medical staff and performing other duties as assigned.
- Courteously screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
- Adhering to infection control and safety guidelines as well as maintaining confidentiality regarding all patients and following confidentiality policies per HIPAA compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
