What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health and Safety Manager position at Axiom Builders, Bosa Construction, Greywolf Equipment?
The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for a portfolio of projects across the Lower Mainland with Axiom Builders. Your role will involve extensive travel to sites including master plan communities, luxury high-rises and wood-frame projects. Your focus will be ensuring the sites are following all Company safety rules and procedures and legislative requirements. You will be working closely with Operations Leadership, the Director of Health & Safety, Head Office and site teams to safeguard all projects under your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, train, and mentor Construction Safety Officers (CSOs) across projects in support of the site team to ensure legislative and Company safety requirements are being followed;
Advise on safety investigations, reporting, training requirements and process and ensure follow up actions are taken;
Implement procedures and develop initiatives that are in compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and corporate safety policies;
Measure and evaluate overall HS&E performance, and deliver solutions and advice for inefficiencies to senior leadership of related teams;
Conduct spot checks with work sites to ensure compliance, including assessing safety protocol of subcontractors and their teams.

Skills and Experience
Eight (8 ) years of experience in construction safety working on high-rise residential or large scale commercial projects
Minimum of five (5) years in a safety supervisory role;
Must have access to reliable transportation;
Proficiency with safety data and related technology;
Knowledge of applicable provincial health and safety regulations for the construction industry;
Ability to communicate and enforce safety protocol with on-site and management level staff.
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
