CONCRETE SUPERINTENDENT
POSITION SUMMARY
The Superintendent performs concrete installation while also overseeing a team (field workforce) of a project. The Superintendent is tasked to complete the work as scheduled, within budget and to the quality standards defined by the Project Manager. He/she works with and coordinates all field personnel including subcontractors on their assigned project to ensure conformity and quality to Axiom’s standards; creates project specific projections and goals, manages material and labor to meet projections and goals; ensures milestones and deadlines set by Project Manager. Informs the Project Manager in a timely manner of all conditions and aspects affecting the performance of his/her responsibilities.

OBJECTIVES
- Manages client, vendor and subcontractor relationships.
- Leads and manages Foreman assigned to the project.
- Verifies materials and quantities for purchasing, requests purchase orders, and scheduled timely material deliveries to the warehouse or job site directly.
- Ensure remaining within the budgeted guidelines established by the Project Manager and recommends purchase of any equipment, parts, and general inventory.
- Ensures that all expenses are being monitored and all projects remain within the budgeted amount(s).
- Manages all assets (Rentals, equipment, materials, etc.) on assigned projects.
- Ensures that work completed meets or exceeds the professional standards set by the project manager.
- Ensures the accuracy and timely submission of approved time, including overtime.
- Ensures that any and all company equipment and unused or excess material are returned to the warehouse/shop at the completion of the project.
- Manage the day to day field activities to ensure project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date is met.
- Provides the leadership and management skills necessary for the successful, safe and profitable execution of his/her projects.
- Manage, coordinate, monitor and control the rate of construction progress to complete construction of the project safely and profitably within set time limits.
- Informs the Project Manager of any client requests that constitute a change from the original scope of the install.
- Ensures all Axiom Constructors employees assigned to the project are trained and equipped to perform their job effectively.
- Delivers services which meet client expectations and exceed Axiom expectations for quality.
- Applies and enforces all the policies and procedures set forth by the Project Manager and is thus held accountable for their implementation.
- Regularly conducts and/or participates in project status, staff and safety meetings with clients, subcontractors (as necessary).
- Obtains all on site client inspections and ensures that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented.
- Ensures that the Project Manager is provided timely operating reports that provides a clear understanding of the performance of the projects assigned and reports any situations that might create issues in the performance of the project to the Project Manager.
- Maintains all daily documentation such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, change logs and emails in a timely manner.
- Projects a professional company image throughout the projects and ensure his/her reports also comply.
- Maintain a written record log of all the rework to include the reason(s) and the actions taken to avoid future repetition.
- Manages the punch list and project closeout process to assure a timely completion.
- Other duties and projects that may be assigned from time to time by the Project Manager or Executive Team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required; with equivalent experience
- An Associate degree in Business Administration, construction management or Similar is preferred
- Valid driver’s license (CDL Preferably)
- Forklift and/or OSHA Certification is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach, talk, hear, climb, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
- Position may require travel to and from field sites to monitor the status of multiple projects
