The Small-Scale Organics (SSO) Pilot Plant specializes in clinical supplies manufacturing, scaling up new manufacturing technologies, and seamless technology transfer to commercial sites. The team is dedicated to ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced and technically challenging setting.

Engage in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to minimize system downtime.
Exposure to advanced technologies such as DeltaV, Rockwell software, AB PLCs, SCADA systems, and data historians.
Collaboration with internal partners to deliver IT and automation solutions that enhance efficiency and data flow.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
Develop and deploy automation solutions under the guidance of the Senior Automation Lead.
Standardize automation systems and processes across all operating bays within the pilot plant.
Investigate automation incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Evaluate and optimize automated systems to ensure stability, quality, and future scalability.
Provide on-floor support for manufacturing and maintenance activities.
Execute change management processes and document modifications to automation systems.
Partner with vendors to coordinate preventative maintenance for automation systems.
Create and maintain validation documents, including test plans, requirement specifications, and qualification records.
Collaborate with process and operations teams to develop and test new or updated functionality.
Participate in an on-call rotation for automation system support.
ARE YOU AN AUTOMATION ENGINEERING ROCK STAR?
Required Skills and Experience :
Education :
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Chemical, or Electrical preferred) or a related field.
Technical Expertise :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (pharma, biotech, food, chemicals).
Proficiency with industrial automation systems, including DeltaV (2 years of configuration and deployment experience).
Familiarity with Rockwell software, AB PLCs, SCADA systems, and Level-0 instrumentation.
Knowledge of automation system architecture, design, start-up, and qualification.
Core Competencies :
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with expertise in root cause analysis.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to create and maintain detailed validation documentation consistent with industry standards.
