HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
Complete and submit new account registration forms to taxing jurisdictions.
Communicate with taxing authorities to resolve account issues and handle escalated tax tracers.
Audit tax accounts for activity and coordinate with Payroll Tax Coordinators to close inactive accounts.
Update third-party vendors with new account information, including SUI rates.
Support mergers, consolidations, and divestitures by updating tax accounts accordingly.
Assist with filing tax returns and amendments that cannot be managed by third-party vendors.
Coordinate with the Corporate Tax Department when opening new local and state tax accounts.
Maintain open communication with internal partners and external parties regarding tax or payroll issues.
Perform related duties and contribute to special projects as assigned.
ARE YOU A PAYROLL TAX SPECIALIST ROCK STAR?
Required Skills and Experience :
Education and Experience :
Bachelors degree in business administration, accountancy, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in payroll tax management or related roles.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in payroll tax and payroll processing software, preferably ADP Enterprise.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Core Competencies :
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
Demonstrated ability to implement processes that result in satisfactory audit practices.
