The Associate Manager, DevSecOps will lead a team in managing the secure infrastructure, development, and deployment of Axiom Station flight software. This role collaborates with software development teams to enhance the software build and deployment platform and works with systems engineers, software safety, and other teams to implement secure network infrastructure for mission operations. Guiding the team in designing and developing systems that meet delivery milestones, schedules, and cost objectives. Establishing processes to support product and team development, requiring proven experience in leading software developers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct and lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and maintain the infrastructure needed for Axiom Software development (e.g. task automation, building pipelines, configuring deployments, etc)
Ensure the design and delivery of the network infrastructure onboard the Axiom Station
Collaborate with software and hardware teams to identify improvements to the design and functionality of the Axiom Station and Axiom Ground infrastructure
Conduct annual reviews for team members
Collaborate with Axiom’s Software Engineering Center to identify areas of opportunity and technology advancements
Schedule deliverables according to milestones and identify opportunities for cost, schedule, and additional resource savings
Report and/or present milestone, plans, and activities to Station Software leadership
Leverages extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve objectives
Develop strategies and solutions to execute complex program initiatives
Enhance staff morale by collaborating with the People & Culture department to ensure internal equity, training, and development
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
5 years of professional experience in software development, and 2 years of experience leading teams
Experience with developing and maintaining Mission and Safety Critical systems in Aerospace projects
Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable test frameworks
Experience with Python, C, C , XML, and Bash
Proven leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead software teams
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with diverse stakeholders
A strong passion for innovation and the desire to drive forward the state-of-the-art in spaceflight software
Skills
Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
