How do we continue to evolve as a species?DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThis position will play a key role in the development of embedded software for development of commercial EVA Spacesuit Graphical Display.Responsibilities will include the development, testing and deployment of embedded software to support UI / UX solutions.Create, test, and integrate embedded software in prototype and flight environments.Communicate with subject matter experts across disciplines, users, and management through the software test and development.Maintain the integrityof our disciplined software configuration and management processes.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, computer engineering or related field5 years of experience developing software for microcontrollers and embedded systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience delivering graphics APIs, graphics drivers or Game Engine subsystems for graphicsExperience with either DirectX / Vulkan / OpenGLExperience working with Embedded LinuxExperience using operating systems (e.g., Linux, VxWorks, RTEMS) and communications protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C) to interface with spaceflight hardwareProficient with code in C / C Experience with development of NASA safety critical softwareFamiliar with NASA core Flight System software (cFS)Knowledge of QT Software Ecosystem preferredExperience implementing 3D graphics features such as lighting, effects, shaders, and other low-level systems preferredEssential FunctionsWork Environment : Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.RequirementsMust be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
