Driver and Inventory Technician - Owner-Operator/Independent Contractors
This role is to service the inventory management and delivery of small parcels in the Westlake, Sulphur, and Lake Charles areas of LA.
Owner-operator will provide their own truck and tools meeting the following specifications:
- 2006 or newer model
- Long bed pickup truck - 8', or
- Flatbed truck, or
- Cargo van with ability to load pallet by forklift
- Tarp and appropriate cargo securement devices
Owner-operator will work with client warehouse staff to:
- Collect and package daily orders
- Plan route
- Make deliveries to various locations
- Scan inventory at locations and manage min/max levels
- Strictly local, daily mileage less than 40 miles.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Report each morning to client address in Westlake
Requirements:
- Current driver license and clean driving history for 36 months
- TWIC
Owner-operator will be managed out of Beaumont office, and will need to attend a monthly safety meeting in Beaumont.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
