Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a client in Rochester Hills, MI who is looking to hire a qualified individual for a Order Picker/Packer on 2nd shift! This candidate must have experience with reviewing incoming materials, matching materials with a work order and preparing those items to ship to customers. Attention to detail and self-starter must have qualities.
Order Picker/Packer Benefits:
- $18/hour
- Temp to Hire – 90 days
- Hours: 2pm to 10:30pm (Overtime will be required on case-by-case basis)

Order Picker/Packer Responsibilities:
- Product Inspection: Inspecting items for quality and accuracy to ensure they match order specifications.
- Packaging: Properly packaging products to prevent damage during transportation. This involves selecting appropriate materials (boxes, bubble wrap, etc.) and packing items securely.
- Labeling: Creating and applying shipping labels and documentation to packages, which includes barcoding and entering information into the warehouse management system.
- Receiving: Assisting in receiving incoming goods by unloading shipments, checking against purchase orders, and storing items in the correct locations.
- Stock Management: Organizing and maintaining inventory, ensuring that goods are stored properly and that stock levels are monitored.
- Order Picking: Selecting items from inventory to fulfill customer orders, ensuring accuracy in the quantities and types of items picked.
- Transporting Goods: Using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or conveyor belts to move goods within the warehouse.
- Replenishment: Restocking shelves or bins as needed, based on inventory levels and demand.
Order Picker/Packer Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- General understanding of RF Scanners
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Pallet Jack
- Forklift (some experience is a plus but not required)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
