Axiota’s field-based sales and technical teams support beef and dairy producers and their technical advisors. Our current cattle product platform includes Multimin® 90, an injectable trace mineral used for strategic supplementation of cattle, and Lactipro®, a rumen native probiotic that promotes healthy rumen function and stabilizes pH. Axiota plans to expand both platforms to additional species and applications in the future.
Axiota develops our innovative solutions through two technology centers – the MS Biotec® Microbial Technology Center and the Warburton Injectable Trace Mineral Technology Center.
The MS Biotec microbial technology center is located in Wamego, Kansas which is our production, R&D and logistics center for Lactipro products.
Quality Control Analyst / Technician Responsibilities :
Looking for an opportunity to start or grow your career in the field of biology? Our state-of-the-art labs and production lines are the only facilities in the world that can produce viable Mega e for cattle on a commercial scale. The Quality Control Analyst will ensure in-process materials and final products are tested in a manner consistent with Standard Operating Procedures and in compliance with regulations to ensure product standards prior to release. Below are a few examples of this position’s responsibilities :
- Execute routine analysis testing for in-process materials and final products using laboratory skills such as dilution plating, gram staining, and aseptic technique. Equipment use includes a spectrophotometer, biosafety cabinet, anaerobic chambers as well as single and multichannel pipettes.
- Perform environmental monitoring tasks, such as surface swabs, air settle plates, and related tasks.
- Make media and solutions as required.
- Maintain equipment and instruments through adherence to calibration schedules and laboratory best practices.
- Perform analysis on newly received raw materials for production and laboratory needs.
- Assure QC records are accurate, compliant, and capture critical data.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the laboratory, including regularly scheduled cleaning tasks.
- Review and update revisions of testing procedures and specifications.
- Promote safety in all areas of work, professional courtesy, and a positive work environment within the company.
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
